Fightiing an ebay scammer!
Interesting story, but there's always the first scarifical lamb and this guy just happened to be it. That was some big dollars!
I need to go to EBMDB and see if I can find one of Tony1963 posts, where he says, "Next time, buy a new one." I took his advice yesterday and bought a new one.
I traded in the 2002 Nissan Altima, fun to drive, but made very cheap and potential future nickel and dime car. It had 30 days/5010miles left on the warranty, one outstanding manufacturers recall and a squealing right front brake that never would get fixed from day one. It had been towed in twice and had over 6 recalls, interior repair and the maintenance was done at the required intervals.
Got a 2004 Honda Accorda, EX, loaded, but with the 4 cylinder at a very nice price from a dealer in Spokane, WA. Tried a 2005 Toyota Camry, what an expenisve gutless, noisey, rough riding, plain jane, piece of crap. I romped on the throttle to get ahead of a truck coming onto the freeway and it didn't have any acceleration, my old flathead has more poop than that did and I wasn't interested in trying the V6, because I didn't like the way it drove.
Like everything about the Honda, had a 1999, bad thing is that the last three cars have been the same color, metalic sandstone.
