I had a 2 hr interview last night. It went really well but was just a technicality since they've already figured out my territory etc and just needed to figure out when I'd be available so they can schedule my training. Corporate requires they do all this otherwise they would have hired me a couple weeks ago. It doesn't become official til about the end of the week. They've gotta run a credit check on me, drug test etc. I'll be dealing with thousands of people's tax and payroll records so they've got to make sure I'm not a thief.

I need the commuter car. My territory will primarily be the SW Portland metro extending to the coast. Frequent trips into Portland will occur. If work is slow in my area I can be sent anywhere in the country which is actually sort of cool because if you get a two week assignment somewhere you've got friends the co. is paying all expenses and you get a bit of a vacation. Pay is almost double what I make now and has more benefits, some that I really need like short and long term disability. I also will get a gas, cell, and hi speed internet allowance. Cool.

I haven't said anything over at EBM cause I'm not sure who might read that that knows my boss.

Life is pretty good this week. I have a big order that is supposed to wire me a chunk of money this week. Got another phone guy. I've known this one for 3 years but don't talk to him as much since he owns a smaller shop, ranges from a couple times a month to once ever couple months. I haven't talked to him since right before Leon left. He's in a custody battle for his daughter and has been preoccupied. When he found out I was single he asked if I'd like to meet him in San Francisco soon. Hmmmmmmm. Least this one has some money. I think Mark is really broke. His house payment hurts although it's a modest house.

Thanks for thinking of me but you know my work # is plastered all over the net, bathroom walls and everything else. We pretty much rank at the top of various google searches for tanks. That's why I didn't post my cell, that would have worried me. We've been making tanks for so many years most people who work on 4x4s, Broncos, Scouts, motorhomes know us. Yeah, I think some of them order because of me but who's gonna argue.

I enjoyed talking to you. Sorry I had to wrap things up, I had to go see exmil today. Turned out her cat died. It was ancient but she was still upset. She was really happy to see me. None of her kids ever bother to visit, even my ex who's 15 minutes away and doesn't work. Sigh. Everyone at the home thinks I'm her daughter because no one else comes to see her. Happened to find a stash of drugs in her drawer. Had to go get them to make sure she was taking her pills and not stashing them. For all the money I pay them you'd think they could watch her take those damn pills.
