Internet Automotive Phishing Scams For 06/08/2013

Post by Doc » June 8th, 2013, 11:56 am

Here are today’s automobile phishing scam listings on eBay Motors.

They are ALL “NEW” ZERO (0) FEEDBACK SELLERS (SCAMMERS).

We start out with this 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo that is listed for sale by “loimp33″ for only $4400 (181154570583).

Next is this 2005 Toyota Tundra Limited that looks gorgeous for only $4800 by “11.oil” (221237905277).

Next is this 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe Z-71 for an incredibly low price of only $4600 by “22.smith” (161041581570).

Next is this 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty FX4 that is offered by “kervyc29″ for only $11,200 (261227343439).

Last is this 2005 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Diesel for only $$7000 offered by “22ville3″ (251286810406).

Folks these vehicles are “SUCKER BAIT” Don’t swallow the hook and let them reel you in. :(

I’d be willing to bet these scams are using someone’s phished identity and stolen credit card to register the eBay accounts. In my personal opinion, It will take eBay enabling ID Verify for any private seller listing a vehicle to stop these daily revolving door of fraudulent listings.
