Have You Received One Of These?

Have you received one of these nasty-grams from eBay's moderation team?

A friend who has always been a big help to eBay members received this email from eBay this morning.

This email is to notify you that we are revoking all privileges for posting in
all eBay Community areas for an indefinite period of time. The specific reason
is one or more violations of the following policy:

Enabling, encouraging, or instructing others to leave eBay so that they can
sell, buy, or participate in community functions on non-eBay websites that
include the sale of merchandise, auctions, and services, such as off-eBay
forums, off-eBay groups, and so on.

Although we always hope to avoid issuing an indefinite Community sanction, the
following are some examples of situations where we find this action to be necessary:

- Continued violations of Board Usage Policy despite previous temporary sanctions
- Egregious violations of policy or posting with an inappropriate User ID
- Circumvention of a current board sanction

A board sanction does not prohibit you from otherwise using the eBay site to bid
and list, etc. However, it is very important that you do not use an alternate
User ID to post on or sign into any one of eBay's Community areas (including
Discussion Boards, Groups,Answer Center and Chat boards). Doing so is a
violation of the terms of this sanction, the Board Usage Policy, and the eBay
User Agreement. Any such violation can lead to the full suspension of this
account (and any related accounts) which revokes the ability to bid, list, or
use the eBay site in any way. This prohibition includes using the accounts of
family members, co-workers, or others to whose accounts you may have access.

Upon request, your indefinite sanction may be reviewed. Please write to
[email protected] once 90 days have passed from the date your sanction
was received. Before you appeal, we respectfully request that you review the
Board Usage Policy and policy explanations via the following URLs:

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.

Ebay just does not like it, when their dirty lil secrets are revealed in public on their boards.

I just find it very interesting, these suspensions come at the same time, the scams on EBM via redirect of legitimate action listings and the number of counterfeit items/scam auctions on Ebay core has noticeably increased in the last several weeks. Hmmmm Makes one wonder eh?

This really sucks!

I was a real pain in their ass - especially with this website. But Cindy spent countless hours helping eBay members that had problems. She is the Queen of eBay links - and knows where everything is located on that garbage dump! They suspended one of their best non-paid helpers!

eBay is just getting sleazier than ever - the site is so infested with counterfeit items it ain't funny - and eBay would rather shoot the messengers than clean their data dump up!

I'm so mad i could spit! :protest:
