The nerve of them cops busting a guy trying to make an honest living selling cars! Then he tries to get a little on the side.

I'm not a big fan of the local police force at this time, think you all know why. All I can do is pay the fine and go on. All the things about paying a few bucks more to screw up their books, ask for the calibration of the radar, and so on doesn't hold water anymore. In fact here, the cops don't even have to show up in court, the judge reads their accurate notes, because they are all honest cops and they do not tell lies. I also learned that I didn't need to sign the ticket, they could of mailed it to me and they can issue a ticket for any traffic violation up to one year after the alledged offense has been committed.

I was told today by my friend that has the towing business, that they have reduced the speed limits all through the city, including where I got mine. I took a drive through town and it was true, a majority of the main city streets went from 35 mph to 30 mph, several down to 25 mph. I was born and raised in this town, never seen, heard or read about the speed limit reductions.

Did see one of the cops from the other night next to me at a stop light, when he looked over, I blew him a kiss, winked, and smiled at him. He just shook his head and took off when the light turned green. Can't beat them, so I'm trying to piss them off with kindness. Just hope one of them doesn't try to hit on me..........:)

his first clue should have been "posed as a customer who wanted to buy a used Saturn,

no one ever asks to buy a used saturn :)

after reading the articale sounds like entrapment to me if the officer ASKED for the ilegal drug for consumption)

sounds like she was soliciting hoping for a better bust.

JR time to put in a transfer and move. Perhaps bring in a copy of the constitution and point out you have the right to a fair trial bring in the jury. What jury today doesn't want to see a cop go down?

When I went to fight my last ticket and pleaded not guilty to get a court date where the cop had to be there or it was dismissed they wanted me to sign to give away my rights to trial by jury. When they pointed out I didn't sign I told the I know its unconstitutional and if they want to push it I'll see them in court. Must suck when its not some crack head just signing anything. They backed down.

Dane I used to sell saturns. Honestly they sold better used than any other car i've ever sold. When I switched dealerships (due to a boss like the guy who got busted only he liked to make women cry instead of jump in the sack) I took my list of customers and what they wanted with. Kept myself busy every time a Saturn came in on trade. Specially those damn little wagons you can't seem to kill.

Largo is really tough on traffic violations. I guess because years ago i drove like a maniac and got a ticket for just about everything in the book :)

But there are dirty tricks that some city's do to help the ticket revenue along! One of Largo's favorites are the traffic light timing on east bay drive, If you drive the 45mph limit you have to stop at every light! You can make the lights if you drive 8mph over the limit! They either nail you for a red light violation or speeding!

Bullshit like that really pisses me off!!

Doc we have some streets out here that are the same way. Right infront of the cop shop they are timed to make it thru all of them at 6miles over the speedlimit. They will leave you alone at 5mph but that freakin sixth mile gets you a wicked ticket.

I miss ND where my first ever speeding ticket for 18 mph over the limit on the highway only cost me 32.00 same ticket in MN would have been 175.00 and in colorado would have been 230.00

I like the police, they are my friends! Well, there are a couple I would have to exclude from that statement.
