Online auction discussion forums are buzzing about an eBay seller known as
Parrothead88, a popular seller of shipping supplies. John Hannon, who
registered on eBay in 1997, had made eBay history when he became the first
"shooting star" PowerSeller in 1999 when he earned 10,000 feedback ratings.
On Thursday, eBayers were shocked to see that with close to 75,000 unique
feedback ratings, Parrothead88 had suddenly emptied his eBay Store and had
no active listings on the eBay website.

When you told me about this it really freaked me out. Parrothead was the most sucessful seller on ebay. Makes you wonder if any of us have a chance at making money. Then again, you get big, you have overhead that us little guys don't have. I know at times I get really burned out too since I work alone. Oh well, another bites the dust.

You can only sell something so cheap!

That's the problem with eBay.. Everyone wants it below wholesale! And i feel that as bad as eBay's reputation has gotten, many buyers feel they may get shafted, but if the price is cheap enough they will take a chance!

Sort of like a downward spiral.. The stock price is reflecting this as well.. Just how low will it go??

Hopefully they pulled out before they went broke. Times are tough anymore. I was up near Portland today, regular gas is above $3 in most stations.
