Welcome to the board.
I am a frustrated eBay Motors Seller. In all my 30 Adult Years I have never came across a more Self Centered bunch than eBay. I have been Suspended for reporting a suspected shilling seller because the support rep was to lazy to Read my support Question.
I have had my sellers account Double Billed more than once! Whic resulted in a nightmare of canned responces from eBays Lack Of Support!
The Motors Site Itself is a Cesspool of Fraudlent Listing with good eBay Members being duped into sending western union money grams to overseas, And of course the buyer never receives his bargain car!
Phony NO RESERVE Auctions that sellers end withis seconds if there hidden reserve is not met!
Deadbeat Bidders! Anyone bidding on a vehicle should be ID Validated!
But eBay is only interested in collecting Fees! They could care less about anybody but themselves!
That Sucks!

hehehe love the twisted icons. Just let me know what ya need help with. I'll be off and on my computer for a bit, going to watch Master and commander.
Who knows maybe someone at ebay will get a clue and start taking care of the fraud and faults that are ruining ebay as a whole, but killing the motors division the fastest.
Ebay could care less what we report whether it be a fraudulent auction or a copyright infringement problem. As long as they make their bucks they are happy, and I owe them a small fortune so they love me right now. Even got their silly top sellers news letter, the only good thing in it was the chart of my sales over the last few months.

Glad to see you're doing something with this domain Doc. If you remember about 5 months ago I was a big supporter of eBay, and tried to convenience people that changes to the site that would help with the fraud would take time. Well, now I feel they have had enough time and have not put any effort into protecting it's customers. Now is the time to let the public know what an unresponsive, money hungry group of losers they really are. I think I'll start digging thru my old emails to eBay security heads and start posting their pacifying responses. You will be surprised at how much they SAID they were working on and how little has changed in the last few months.

Welcome

With the knowledge we all have of the car industry, and with ebay, I think this is our chance to finally do some good. I had some spare time last night waiting for the rum and cokes to kick in numbing my back so i could sleep. JR is right its too early to be awake, kids just left for school, connor is taking them. Its cold, snowing, and I feel it in every joint of my body, bed is sounding good already and i've only been up long enough to have two smokes. Glad everybody made it here ok!

Rum and coke? What damn rum and coke? Don't believe a damn thing she says... there ain't no rum that I know of in the house, and there sure ain't no coke.
Sheesh, next thing she'll be talking about the mint condition Nova she has.
Hey Doc, I gotta 75 Nova Custom for sale... I'll take a grill insert and HD fuel pump for a 78 Bronco and some buckets out of a 93-96 F250 extended cab, fit in nice in the Bronco. Hell, I settle for a fuel pump that lasts longer than 4 months... and someone who can tune the damn thing properly.
Just don't believe a thing Witchie says... 'specially about me.

Welcome to the board, Connor.
I made the mistake of buying a bottle of VO last night! Paying for it today!!

Doc, switch to Crown, goes down real smooth and no morning problems.
If it has to be Seagrams, I prefer 7 & 7. I should have some Crown tonight, had to do a bioassay, three day piss test for work (pissed in a different bottle everyday for three days, mornings and evenings). So at the club meeting Wednesday, I couldn't take part in the free beer that was being passed around. I'm feeling pretty thirsty right now.

Ok ya smart alec it was dr. pepper, but the combination grosses people out, and YEP i have bacardi left in the cabinent over my desk. Along with Kahlua and a half bottle of Vanilla stoli which i am about to start in on. Besides you left after ER to go to walmart then hid in your office while the pizza was in the oven.
Have I ever mentioned Connor was spit out of the ground and looks like Gimley the dwarf in the lotr movies? I'd better be careful before I find a bunch of my pictures on docs other board to go with the one I posted for JR.

Doc, I hope that was a 1/4 of a gallon left. Anything smaller there wouldn't be much left to get a buzz. I still haven't had my Crown tonight, probably wait until tomorrow to have some. What the hell, I'll have a slug before I go to bed.

All alcohol kills me too, but when I'm drinking it, I don't care until the next day. I swear it off everytime and then will do it again.
I never did get my Crown last night, have been occupied setting up a new computer and doing a few things around the house that went to hell while I was gone. The hot tub developed a new leak, need to fix the garage door, change oil and clean the old Ford and paint two areas where I had a big object come from underneath my best friends 47 Ford last weekend and nailed my hood.. It's ready to paint, just need a little less wind.
Buy another bottle, do some sippin' and enjoy the day.

Hey Conner, I believe everything Witchie has to say.

eBay sucks and so does Dish Satellite.

lol jr its Connor you have to watch and decide what to believe in. There is a reason i'm going to make him a tshirt that says "i'm a shit" and one for myself that says I'm with shit lol.
I rarely buy of of ebay anymore. I spend so much time on that site selling that i forget to look for stuff I need to buy. Hot rod parts eh? I could use some shocks, couple of racing seats or just good buckets to replace the front bench in the nova hmmmm and a bigger engine while your buying.
Posted: April 28th, 2004, 8:38 pm
by JR
Those ought to be some real nice shirts to wear. If you wear them, we need to see pictures.
You want hot rod parts from me? A bigger engine, I've got a 239 cid, 120 hp flathead V-8, with dual carbs, headers, trick heads, electronic ignition and it gets 15 mpg, and sucks on power. This is a nostalgia motor, not a hi-per motor. I've got regular gas shocks on it, it was a bitch just trying to find the ones I have on it, no matching numbers, just how much they collaspe and extend. I've got the original bench seats, but new custom upholstery.
I will be going to the annual swap meet Saturday, I'm sure I can find everything you are asking for. I may be a little short on cash if I find what I'm looking for. I am looking for a "2-door" Nova, 1970 to 1976. Let me repeat, a "2-door" and no I am not interested in yours if you weld the back doors shut.
So what else is on your wish list? I did get this nifty key chain at the Safety Expo and a plastic Pith helmut too. They put on this big safety show every year for work and the public, it's just a short block away from the house. The vendors give out some good stuff, wife took the Swiss Army knife key chain, ate some of the candy, gave most of the stuff to the grandkid. I didn't go nuts this year and grab everything they offered.

My nova will NEVER be for sale.. although i like the idea of welding the doors shut but then how to get the kids in when they are fighting and not be tempted to smack their heads on the door jams lol. Now if I looked like daisy duke i'd be doing it.
I love looking at the old hot rods. I miss swap meets. Just not enough hours in a day for them right now. I was thinking a 454 should bolt in pretty easily lol. If i ever finish the nova i found the next resto project. Connor's volvo mechanic has two 50s model volvos that look like panal vans, right side is shot on one left side shot on the other, can get both for 650.00 good glass in one, and most of the original motor in the other. Between the two I'd have all the glass, body, and half an engine. all the seat frames i could ever want to work on and a ton of welding. The body parts that are good are actually in great shape. But buying them would make connor all too happy to have more volvos so it won't happen lol
We are fixing the bronco so that i have something to drive. Its cheaper than fixing the nova. 30.00 for an electric fuel pump versus 300.00 for brakes and shocks.

good thing my sales are up because 8mpg is going to be expensive! and with summer here i'll be taking bets as to how long it runs without stalling on me. I called my mechanic today and he was all to happy to give me the info i needed to do it myself instead of bringing the bronco in to him lol. He hates seeing it. He did say he would love to see it when its in a pile at the bottom of a mountain after going over the cliff. I'm afraid if i take it back in to him he may test drive it into the mountains and forget to put it in park when he gets out for a soda.
Hmmm wish lits besides the engine would be Seats. Connor and i both hate the front bench. We want buckets. Will be scouting the Pick your parts junk yards this summer.
I don't recommend the 76 2 door they are small and kinda ugly, most came with 6cyl instead of 8. They are a dime a dozen out here though if you want me to keep my eyes open. I know of one in great shape you may be able to pick up for about 2k now consider i'm saying great shape for a 76 it needs a little work, but not much, runs like a top but needs a bit of body work. I see the kid driving it all the time, his grandma gave it to him it has original paint, been kept in a garage and hardly driven for years. His little engine is still strong, but not powerful at all. My nova engine is old and i'm still burning the little old lady original owner carbon out of it, but it beat the kids 76 with no problem.

I would prefer the 1970 through 1972. There are a couple around here, will see what's at the swap meet tomorrow, might be something else I want.
I shouldn't have came home to work, I liked not working a lot better than I liked working. Today is a short day, will only work 8 hours today. The work in Ohio wasn't too bad, worked 10 hour days and drove just over a mile to work. Here, its a 42 mile drive to work, then they're trying to decide who is going to get me now. I've already changed managers and it looks like I will be going to another place, will knock 10 miles off the drive. I guess I don't care, as long as they pay me, but I still prefer not working. That was really nice, the time I had off, then some asshole had to spoil it by hiring me.
Throw the kids in the car and weld all the doors shut....
Too early and I need some coffee, later..................

hehehe thought about tossing the kids in the trunk and welding it shut. It leaks so i can run a hose over it or wait until it rains and they would have water lol.
Not making much money, but i'm enjoying working for myself. Sounds like its what you need to be doing as well. The only down fall is when your swamped there are no employees to push the work onto. I'm not busy enough to hire someone, but too busy to keep up with work and home...good thing I work from home but my house looks like a bomb blew up in it.
I'm with ya on the 70-72 models. I saw a 70 Nova yesterday, 2dr, and drooled.
Well you will be happy to hear we got an electric fuel pump finally for the bronco. Mounting it to the inside wheel well, then at some point will get another one to mount back by the tank and toss a few extra's in the back of the truck lol i blow thru the mechanical non electric pumps like they are a dime a dozen instead of 30.00 a pop. Connor is tired of driving me around, and when I tried to drive the escort my leg up thru my back just cramped up because of the clutch. Connor has managed to drive me the short drive to Crazy. I'm getting even. My youngest daughter Rain (7) just went with him to the parts store. He should be looney by the time he gets back. Fair is fair lol.
Hope things settle down for your job. I hated working for a company that couldn't hold on to management. Went thru 17 bosses in one year, all of them coming to me to show them how things work. It was a mess when I finally had one with a clue. Kept getting in trouble for doing her job.

Why do you want two pumps? One located a few feet from the gas tank should be more than sufficent. Make sure you put a regualtor on the gas line, just after the pump.
Yeah, put the kids in the trunk and weld it shut or send them back to the other parent for the summer. It's time to enjoy yourself for the summer and kids interfere. Yesterday was my youngest grand daughters 2nd birthday, the other grandpa's and me polished off a bottle of Crown my son had. Us grandparents need to have some fun too. I sat in a lawn chair and watch them put together a jungle jim swing, supervised the work, even took an afternoon snooze. I was one hurting puppy from the day before, decided to show my best friends daughter how to do tricks and flips on the trampoline. I might as well done a face plant on the grass. The flips were fine, it's the other stuff that hurt and I mean hurt bad. I figure a few more days and I will be able to show her a few more tricks.....

Well lets see, JR is probably sipping crown while outrunning barney fife, Witchis is probably geting her brothel started, And i have added a good size handfull of scams to the site.
Got 1 sold so far on eBay. But i honestly think im done with eBay! My account is up to about a Grand with this last batch of cars i put on. Cant earn an honest living selling cars on eBay any more. Think i will move out to colorado and help witchie manage the brothel, It should have good benefits

Well, I be right here. Wasn't drinking Crown this weekend, but some really good local WA state wine, we got lots of wineries here. Have a friend who works for one and she always has really good wine. In fact, two blocks away, have a winery and haven't been there for awhile to sample the stuff.
Seen Barney Fife yesterday at the annual fair parade we did. Of course I didn't draw attention to myself, by calling him a pig or an asshole. Our car club got a first place trophy for our class.
One of our members has got a 1967 -1968 Camaro RS convertible with 327, auto, a stocker, but with new paint and chrome wheels w/moons. really nice. I'd post a picture of it if I knew how.
Doc, managing a brothel is a very reputable occupation. Should pay very well, there are lots of times when you'll go in the hole, but that's business. Get your own girls and take one of your rides and pimp it up.
I've been reading some articles in the local newspaper, places on the internet and it doesn't speak too kindly of eBay. They speak of the scams and account thefts, appears it may just be a matter of time when they sink or swim. Really hate to hear that you can't conduct business on there like you have in the past. How is the local market for selling cars?
My best friends brother and uncle buy quite a few cars in Southern California, LA and San Diego, take them over to Las Vegas and sell them.
Here's his link to his brothers web site. He seems to be doing pretty good from what I've been told.
