I decided to list that mazda on ebay under my main account EEEks there goes my perfect feedback.
you want to earn $20 by making a good listing for me that will help sell it?
i dont want to not disclose its body damage and the ac not working and the like still i feel it would be a reliable car for a college person or second car (i hope) for the money
im thinking 1,000.00 reserve and 1600 BIN (instant paymetn required)
Ill take PP but ill need to have a thing so i dont get Charge back
call me if you are interested so we can go over the details
thanks

http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse. ... ted=923630
the pictures not sure what to use but they show all the damage except the inner trunk which i fixed
I think i should mention it was in a minor rear end accident
and to se carfax for the details.
other than that it has new tires which i got at sears i can give the recipt to the new owner i belive if they show it to sears they will honor the roadhazard warrenty and lifetime balence rotation.
new clutch fan other minor ods and ends. no point in mentioing some of the stuff i did since it works and no need to bring up old history that has been addressed

you might except i replaced that engine. and i think they got a record of the vin number they might not be willing to pay out a sceond time.
but hey it doesnt cost the seller anything so go for it. Ill also be sure not to over fluff the listing you saw the pictures im showing all the damage and im selling it likly cheeper than what I paid for it

ok was wondering.
darn thing is running good but i been noticing alot of oil lately worried a seal is on its way out.
at this rate it will end up in the parts car section

Put a half a can of stop leak and a half a can of 50 wt oil or something else to thicken the oil up. Should be good for another 10K miles.

Snake oil? Nah! I use a 50-50 mix of sawdust and STP in the transmissions and rearends. Keeps 'em real quiet.
I had an uncle that was a long time mechanic, recommended Borax powered soap for a smoking motor. He said pouring it down the carb while it was running would make it stop smoking for about 1000 miles, long enough to sell it.
I never did try it, something about putting an abrasive in the carb and into the cylinders just didn't sound right. He was one of them old time mechanics, would be in his 90's if he still was alive. Have pictures of him and the cars he built from scrap, from the 20's and 30's.

Meow, I just don't believe in that sealer crap. Rubber seals get hard with heat and age, Snake oil might help soften it up some but not likley.
JR, I have heard of the sawdust trick back in the old days, but not the borax down the carb! I agree the thought of it hitting the combustion chambers gives me the creeps!

i dunno put some 20/50 in there and a can of gunk sealer seems to have stoped
at least til the next oil change. Ill be sure to tell the new owenr it marks its territory. car is worth about 700 as a parts car so Im hoping to do better than that.
right now i got it running pretty good it has new tires and i finaly managed to get it aligned properly shame the ac went out. a leak someplace i know the compressor is good but its likly a seal

Doc, I don't use additives in my everyday cars. The old flattie in the '41 has a front main seal (rope type) that needs to be replaced, put an additive in that is supposed to swell the rope up a little to help seal it. Seems to work a little bit, but need to replace the seal this winter.
I too have heard about the sawdust in trannies and rear ends, but never seen it. If I had an engine that I didn't care about, I'd do it just to see what happens. I would expect quite a bit of damage, especially with the new engines that have very close tolerances.
We went on our annual car club "Shop Crawl". Boy, did I see some outragous cars in the making. '41 Willy's Coupe, 54 Ford Convertible deep blackwith Cont. Kit, 46 Lincoln Coupe, with 460 V-8 and a really nice 34 Ford 3 window coupe, flawless! Lots of food, snacks, drinks, and beer. Great time.

they have modern verions of saw dust i forget what they are called i never used them but they got stuff that will fix head gaskets and A/C leaks and tranny problems for a few thousand miles or so its enough to get them down the road
the buyer gets a oil change or drives it a short time and all the sudden the whole car self destructs and they wonder WTF happened

HEY
i was driving today (im really not supposed to) and this guy pissed me off goin 50mph on I-75 blocking traffic as a 18 wheeler was doing the same speed. after 15 miles or so we split to three lanes i driffed over then back in front of this guy who was drving a sporty honda 2000s convertible.
i got in front of him everyone else had passed like i had and jsut slowed down to 40mph didnt step on the breaks jsut slowed down...he flashed his lights to pass. i did nothing he flashed the mfaster then jsut left htem on so we drove about 10 miles or so that way until he decided he would pass me i stepped on the gas (drving the MAzda its got a 3.o hemi you know) we got up to 120mph before he decided He wasnt gonna pass me and gave up.
was stupid i know but 2 things one i enjoyed forced that fuck to move over and 2nd the mazda is running pretty damn good these days, i cleaned out the TB on it

yeah, Im easly pissed off one of the reasons im not realy supposed to drive.
but that guy was in the lft lane doing 50 in a 70 zone he had no place there slower traffic to the right.
by him eventualy stepping on the gas and his willingness to speed up to 120 shows he was doing it to be a prick

Best thing to do, if it's dark out, is adjust your left low beam headlight up a tad. Adjust it so it shines right into their rearview mirror. Boy did piss off a few people with my last truck. I work on a government site, 43 miles to work and 43 miles home, they have a great big construction project going on and starting work at 6:00am is the shits. People are barely awake, they drive like shit too. The mis-adjusted headlight worked very nice for me, but now I have a new pickup. This one has some real bright fog lamps, bright enough to be used by themselves.
Otherwise, find an old police siren and install it. Use it ever so sparinly, so they have to look around for awhile and you should be able to pass them.
