Nope send me the three grand i'll pay off the loan and send you my 96 escort (i'll have to toss in 65.00 just to pay the loan) and ship it to you. All you have to do is put in a new timing belt and water pump

meow, I would just set the jeep aside (seeing that you like it) and work on it later when you have more time to think ect....

But In the mean time with all these auto rebates ect, buy a new car,

put the 3K on that, JMO.

good idea but the only cars im looking at jsut now NEW are the XC 90 and the GMC express both are considarbly more than what id be willing to pay.

I think new cars are over priced and the deprication is horible

I keep thinking rebuilt the engine but this guy is playing me like a master fisherman for a 4.6L I6 replacement

meanwhile wifes driving the Mazda which is actualy running pretty good although its marking its terrirtory.

with baby #3 on the way I dont want to have any payments on a car until we feel comfortable.

I was thinking more of cheep transportation, I bought a 01 toyota cor. new 5spd got about 40 mpg.

and even without rebates , don't know if Toy has any, but even at 12 or 13k with 3K down the payments would be peanuts plus the gas miliage, I know it's a toy, but we can't have our cake and eat it to,

good thought, but ill stick to the jeep. it will seat 3 babies and have room for stroller diaperbag and um 2 adults

the toyta's seem over prived/valued and I hate FWD

I know how hard it is to let the jeep just sit. Trust me my nova sat for a year. The toyota's aren't so much over priced as they just don't depreciate as fast as many newer cars. I've been watching the small dealerships selling them for 3k even with 200+k miles on them. They run between 1500-4k in the papers with as many miles on them depending on body condition.

I too hate FWD It was the one thing I hated about both my metro's and the escort. I grew up driving RWD even durring six months of snow and ice a year and I still prefer them on ice than anything else.

Cringe, perhaps put the money then into the mazda? I've replaced more parts on my friends cherokee than I ever care to do again. Single mom scraping money for parts and baby sitting for me in return for the labor. By the time I said no more I think the only things left to replace were the engine itself and tranny. The reason she got rid of it were because those where going and she knows I can't replace either one.

With that new baby on the way you need a reliable car now more than ever.

that mazda scares me i want to sell it just about any money

if i could get 1k for it would be gone

its running good but because that curbstoner rigged it i dont trust it even after the new engine.

ac went out on it i think it might be the evaporator. everytime i drive it i want to fix it but for once im standing firm and not digging a deeper hole

if i stll had a lot id list it 900 down 50 week 3000 total

LOL take his caddy. I would if i had the cash. Love those old boats. My uncle used to call them land yahts. Big and safe in an accident, tend to run forever and you can fit the whole family plus a pack of their friends all in the back seat lol. A friend of mine in highschool had one just like the one doc has for sale. We fit seven across the back seat and four across the front. I was skinny back then.

Who wants a Caddy? Got a 1957 tudor sedan, straight body slightly customized, primered in flat black, (hot pink under the primer), PS, 402 BBC, w/chrome and two four barrel carbs mounted on a hi-rise intake, hi-po cam, turbo 400 tranny, lowered, Moon screw on spun aluminum hub caps, and crushed velour interior and trunk. From the Northwest and NO rust.

Real head turner, low miles on the drive train (less than 2,000 miles).
